For textures, NASA Visible Earth cloud map were used to texturized some of the clouds visibleearth.nasa.gov/view.php…
I also used personal rocky textures for the mountains as finishing touches.

Wowza, this is really cool! I love work like this: including universal stuff and that has unique ideas too. This definitely is powerful and radiant, nice work and keep it up!
Wow. I don't know what else to say other than that...and it's an absolutely beautiful piece.
Yes a piece of art with thought. The fluid details on the comet trail are breathtaking.
very nice indeed

Wait a sec, actually haze and clouds do already exists in space, looking at comets. This scene represents a comet loosing moisture as the warmth of the star thaws them as it approaches, or passes by the Earth like planet.
I think you mean the haze within the mountains, and yes, in a virtual reality, you can play with the laws of physics, change them even. When virtual reality becomes a reality, I do plan to bend the laws of physics and place haze/clouds in space.
dude your killing meh. Your so good man hopefully I'll have some artwork up so u can see it too :3
